NDT
Non Destructive Testing required on the welds of qualifying machines is carried out internally for the visual checks and for coloured dye penetrant testing, a COFREND certified level 2 and ASNT recommendation SNT-TC-1A operator is in charge of these checks.
The following operations are carried out by external contractors depending on contractual requirements:
- X Ray / Gamma radiography
- Fluorescent penetrant testing
- Ferrite tests
- Magnetic particle checks
- Thickness measurements
